Tricia's middle school son is OCD/ADHD. He's in counseling and just started medication. She wonders if homeschooling would be the key.

Karlos has always been hyperactive, but it wasn't until 8th grade that he was diagnosed with ADHD. Now he's reading my book 'Better Than Normal' and although he's seeing a glimmer of hope, he still doesn't know what to focus on in life in order to bring about success.

Harold questions the title "From Stigma to Strength" which I discuss in an interview with 'The Advocate'. He also thinks it's amusing that I say many mental disorders have gone from being stigmatized to glamorized.  Do you agree?

Liz is a 40 year old woman who always hated school. She found it boring and never challenging and would always get in trouble for not completing her work. As an adult she takes meds for major depression, but after reading my book, wonders if she's been misdiagnosed. She's also thinking about changing careers, even though she's never been able to hold down a job very long. Do you think it's too late for a major change at 40?

Monique diagnosed herself with ADD from an online quiz. Her friends said she was crazy because ADD is for kids! She went to the doctor, who confirmed her ADD and prescribed a medication that worked wonders! However, since she doesn't like to take meds, she quit and opted for supplements instead. Problem is, they don't help. She asks what to do?

Daryl is 22, and is miserable. He gets bored very easily, and has had over 15 jobs in the four years since he finished college, either quitting or more often getting fired. He can't finish anything he starts, he's terribly bored and he desperately wants to change. What should he do?

Teresa has suffered from depression, PTSD, ADD, delusions and hallucinations for years. She has been found to have vitamin deficiencies in the past, with the hospital wanting once again to perform an evaluation for mal-absorption, but her doctor said this is unnecessary. She finds it difficult to talk to others and is fine remaining in her home alone never going out. She's confused and reaching out for a suggestion. Can mal-absorption cause depression? Do you know?

Barbara is overcoming breast cancer. Despite the pain, a psychologist says she's in great mental shape. She had a setback, and her GP prescribed a short stint of Adderall. She did great on the drug, and she asked him to prescribe it regularly, but he refused, saying she needed to see a psychiatrist for the medication. She doesn't want a psychiatrist because mentally she is fine! She's ready to take this case and her doctor to the California Medical Board for refusing her medication. What's the problem here?

Rebecca struggles with ADD/ADHD and finds that, even though her meds work, they strip her of being herself. She has started doing research on mirror writing. She's looking for research and studies that delve into this unusual phenomenon, but is coming up short. Do you know what mirror writing is, and if so, can you do it? Do you think it means anything?

I feel like my life is passing me by. I don't understand why I get bored with everything. It's like I get high with things, people, jobs and then after a bit, I want to bail.

I was touched by my brother when I was young. I can't stop thinking about it! I can't hold a steady job and feel I'm going to go crazy.

About a month ago, my 6 year old son was diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder). I began diligently researching the condition, and while I was reading,  I realized I was not only reading about my son, I was also reading about myself! I fit about 80% of the criteria for adult ADHD.

I am 28 years old, and have been on Adderall or some form of stimulant since I was in second grade. I had stopped taking it after high school.
